Terms of Service
Effective date: 13 May 2025
These Terms of Service govern your use of the OnPoint Studios hire portal at app.onpointstudios.com.au. By submitting a quote request or booking equipment, you agree to these terms. Equipment hire is also subject to a separate Hire Agreement, which you will receive and must accept before any equipment is released.
1. About us
OnPoint Studios (ABN 80 765 057 815) is an equipment hire and AV production business based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. References to “we”, “us”, or “our” refer to OnPoint Studios.
2. Use of this portal
This portal is intended for:
- Browsing available hire equipment
- Submitting quote requests for equipment hire
- Reviewing and accepting hire agreements
- Managing existing bookings via the client portal
You agree not to misuse this portal, submit false information, or attempt to access areas of the system you are not authorised to access.
3. Quotes and bookings
Submitting a quote request does not constitute a confirmed booking. A booking is only confirmed when we send you a hire agreement, you accept it, and we confirm receipt of the required deposit or payment.
Pricing displayed on this portal is indicative and inclusive of GST. Final pricing will be confirmed in your quote, and may vary based on hire duration, delivery requirements, or special arrangements.
4. Payment
A deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is due prior to equipment release. Payment terms are specified in your hire agreement.
Bank transfer is our preferred payment method. Credit card payments may be accepted and incur a 1.8% surcharge. Bank transfer details are provided on your invoice.
5. Cancellations and rescheduling
Cancellation terms are outlined in your hire agreement. As a general guide:
- Cancellations with more than 48 hours' notice: full refund of deposit less any reasonable administration fee
- Cancellations within 48 hours of hire commencement: 50% cancellation fee applies
- No-shows or same-day cancellations: full hire amount may be forfeited
Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be requested as early as possible.
6. Equipment and liability
All equipment is provided on a dry-hire basis — without an operator — unless separately agreed in writing. You are responsible for the safe operation, custody, and return of equipment from the time of collection until return.
Detailed terms regarding damage, loss, theft, and liability are set out in the Hire Agreement you will receive at the time of booking.
7. Identity verification
A valid government-issued photo ID is required before any equipment is released. Failure to provide acceptable ID will result in equipment not being released, and hire fees may still apply.
8. Intellectual property
All content on this portal — including product descriptions, images, and design — is owned by or licensed to OnPoint Studios. You may not reproduce or repurpose any content without our written permission.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OnPoint Studios is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this portal or hired equipment. Our total liability in any circumstance is limited to the amount paid by you for the relevant hire booking.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of this portal after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
